- New macro XDT_VERSION_INIT(SEMVER[, TAG])
This macro takes care of setting up the version numbering.
It will define the following macros based on SEMVER and TAG:
- xdt_version
- xdt_version_major
- xdt_version_minor
- xdt_version_micro
- xdt_version_tag
- xdt_version_build
- xdt_debug_default
If TAG isn't specified, the xdt_version_tag and xdt_version_git
will be empty and xdt_debug_default will be set to "minimum",
otherwise the xdt_version_build will contain a git hash and
xdt_debug_default will be set to "yes"
Example usage:
XDT_VERSION_INIT([4.15.3],[git])
AC_INIT([xfce4-someproject], [xdt_version()])
...
XDT_FEATURE_DEBUG([xdt_debug_default])
- XDT_I18N macro will now automatically find the linguas if none are
specified during the autoconf run.
- Install m4 macros in default search dir. This makes autoconf find the
macros by default.
By setting version via XDT_VERSION_INIT and using XDT_I18N without
arguments,
this is no longer necessary to use a separate configure.ac.in and a
plain configure.ac can be used !

- xfce4-dev-tools now also handle the CI (docker container,
.gitlab-ci.yml templates files etc) on our new gitlab instance. A merge
request or a push to master to any of our projects automatically trigger
a build. This will help us to catch errors quicker and have better
quality. Thanks to Jason Yavorska and Simon Steinbeiss.
- New helpers are also available (xfce-get-release-notes,

scripts/build is interpreted as an sh script which may not recognize variable
assignment operator += and thus give the following error and fail to append
LDLIBS.
../scripts/build: 21: ../scripts/build: LDLIBS+=-lm: not found
Use the basic assignment instead.

The original /sbin/ebtables has been moved to /usr/sbin/ebtables-legacy.
But the old path is still used by some other software libvirt.
libvirtd[809]: direct firewall backend requested,
but /sbin/ebtables is not available: No such file or directory
As stated in the related change in ebtable git repo:
The new -legacy binary has no problem if called via a symlink with the
'ebtables' name, so users can still name this binary with whatever name.
So we add a symbol link from /usr/sbin/ebtables-legacy to /sbin/ebtables.

Upgrade to release 3.11.2:
- Fixed a memory leak caused by failing SDAM monitor checks on
Python 3 (PYTHON-2433).
- Fixed a regression that changed the string representation of
BulkWriteError (PYTHON-2438).
- Fixed a bug that made it impossible to use
bson.codec_options.CodecOptions.with_options() and
with_options() on some early versions of Python 3.4 and
Python 3.5 due to a bug in the standard library implementation
of collections.namedtuple._asdict() (PYTHON-2440).
- Fixed a bug that resulted in a TypeError exception when a
PyOpenSSL socket was configured with a timeout of None
(PYTHON-2443).

Upgrade to release 7.1.0:
- os_sorted, os_sort_keygen, and os_sort_key to better support
sorting like the file browser on the current operating system
- Support for Python 3.9
- Treat None like NaN internally to avoid TypeError
- No longer fail tests every time a new Python version is released
- Various typos, missing figures, and out-of-date information in
