Update to the latest stable NIS tools. The yp-tools libraries and headers conflict with the RPC headers provided by glibc, so install them to a different location. Systems that intend to build using the NIS-provided versions will need to specify the alternate location, but that is covered by pkg-config, so it should only be necessary to point pkg-config at the alternate .pc file. The older stable versions are suitable for IPv4-only setups, so keep them around in case those are required for some systems. meta-networking
===============
This layer is intended to be a central point for networking-related
packages and configuration. It should be useful directly on top of
oe-core and compliments meta-openembedded. It should be primarily useful
to the following groups:
- Anyone building a small networking device (eg. a home router /
bridge / switch).
- Anyone wanting to add network services to their device (eg.
anything that might benefit from a small ftp/tftp server)
