The perl_trapd_handler function in perl/TrapReceiver/TrapReceiver.xs in Net-SNMP 5.7.3.pre3 and earlier, when using certain Perl versions, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (snmptrapd crash) via an empty community string in an SNMP trap, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference within the newSVpv function in Perl. meta-networking

This layer is intended to be a central point for networking-related
packages and configuration. It should be useful directly on top of
oe-core and compliments meta-openembedded. It should be primarily useful
to the following groups:
- Anyone building a small networking device (eg. a home router /
bridge / switch).
- Anyone wanting to add network services to their device (eg.
anything that might benefit from a small ftp/tftp server)
