Add branch name explicitly to SRC_URI where it's not defined and switch
to using https protocol for Github projects.
The change was made using convert-srcuri script in scripts/contrib.

Use git repo as the the previous URL only stores the latest
source file and fails to locate the source file which isn't
the latest.

static data is installed.
