Mycroft made its last release in 2021 and was formally abandoned in 2024: Mycroft core is no longer maintaiend and probably likely not work on your computer anymore. Open Voice OS and Neon-core are both spiritual successors to Mycroft. (And some of the old code may live on there.) The version we packaged was from 2019 and nobody cared enought to upgrade it to any of the sixteen later releases, so I don't believe anyone is using it.
