Fixes errors e.g.
error: assigning to 'char *' from 'const char *' discards qualifiers [-Werror,-Wincompatible-pointer-types-discards-qualifiers]

1 error generated.
They are latent and brought to fore with autoconf 2.73 which switches
defaults to use -std=gnu23
