After further debugging it turned out that the root cause of my issue was a race condition between gdm and kmscon and switching to dbus just changed the condition to my favour. gdm itself can work with dbus-broker, so this statement is false Signed-off-by: Markus Volk <f_l_k@t-online.de> Signed-off-by: Khem Raj <khem.raj@oss.qualcomm.com>
