Toaster depends on pokydirname for identifying the location of the oe-init-build-env script (and there might be other purposes in the future). The problem with current approach is that it only checks/sets the variable with git based repos, whereas toaster provides mechanisms to allow having layers that are all locally available. The evaluation of the variable fails in such scenarios, so use a more flexible mechanism in this case and try to locate poky in the local layers as well, if not already set. QEMU Emulation Targets ====================== To simplify development, the build system supports building images to work with the QEMU emulator in system emulation mode. Several architectures are currently supported in 32 and 64 bit variants: * ARM (qemuarm + qemuarm64) * x86 (qemux86 + qemux86-64) * PowerPC (qemuppc only) * MIPS (qemumips + qemumips64) Use of the QEMU images is covered in the Yocto Project Reference Manual. The appropriate MACHINE variable value corresponding to the target is given in brackets.
