avro-c++'s CMakeLists.txt calls find_package(fmt) and only falls
back to fetching fmt 10.2.1 via FetchContent if fmt isn't found.
The recipe never added fmt to DEPENDS, so find_package fallback
is always triggered. The recipe then had to stage it into
${B}/_deps/fmt-src.
oe-core already provides fmt_12.1.0, and avro-c++ only
uses a small, stable part of its API (fmt::format_string,
fmt::format, fmt::formatter<T>) that is unchanged between 10.x and
12.x.
Add fmt to DEPENDS so find_package(fmt) succeeds and avro-c++ links
oe-core's fmt instead, and drop the fmt SRC_URI, SRCREV_fmt and
do_configure:prepend()
Following tests provided by avro-c++ use fmt headers:

JPEGXL_ENABLE_SIZELESS_VECTORS no longer exists: 0.11 read it, 0.12 does
not, so cmake reports it as an unused command line variable. Per target
JPEGXL_ENABLE_HWY_* switches took its place.
The riscv removal it carried is gone with it, and nothing is lost. In 0.11
the option defaulted to off and disabled SVE and RVV; enabling it, as the
recipe did, is what pulled RVV in and broke riscv in the first place. In
0.12 RVV is listed in JPEGXL_HWY_TARGETS_OFF_BY_DEFAULT, so it is not built
on any architecture -- an aarch64 build passes HWY_RVV in HWY_DISABLED_TARGETS
without any help from the recipe.
Built libjxl for raspberrypi4-64 from a clean state and checked that the
x86-64 configuration no longer carries the dead define.

Whether Highway's SVE targets are built is decided by a compiler capability
probe that compiles a function marked __attribute__((target("+sve"))). The
attribute enables SVE for that function itself, so the probe succeeds on any
aarch64 compiler no matter what the tune supports, and the guard meant to
disable the targets never fires.
On a tune without SVE this compiles code that can never run, and gcc 16
crashes while doing so:

that the x86-64 configuration is unchanged.

We can disable building the tests, and remove a few build dependencies.

openssl is always required, add to DEPENDS.
Add lz4 PACKAGECONFIG as this is an option upstream, enabled by default

Mycroft made its last release in 2021 and was formally abandoned in 2024:
Mycroft core is no longer maintaiend and probably likely not work on
your computer anymore. Open Voice OS and Neon-core are both spiritual
successors to Mycroft. (And some of the old code may live on there.)
The version we packaged was from 2019 and nobody cared enought to upgrade
it to any of the sixteen later releases, so I don't believe anyone is
